A.G.B.U. Vatche & Tamar Manoukian 9th Grade Leadership Workshop

Fearless A.G.B.U. Vatche & Tamar Manoukian 9th graders were presented with a myriad of activities designed to test the way they work together to accomplish a common goal. In addition to a quiz bowl that tested their knowledge of the Student Handbook, there was a balloon relay that challenged the team’s motor skills. Using two 36 inch rulers, each pair had to figure out how to get a small balloon from start to finish and hand it off to their team partners without dropping it. The ideas and techniques these future innovators came up with were impressive!

Along the way, there were mini-challenges to illustrate the group’s ability to listen to and carry out instructions. Some were more successful than others, but everyone had fun! The 5 teams earned points for each event and the winners received a prize of unspeakable value!

The students are already looking forward to their next workshop. One thing’s for sure, these gifted, enthusiastic young Spartans are poised to make their mark in the school community!
