Last week, Allison Joseph ’17, Ali Mercado ’18, Cassidy Castillo ’18 and Campus Minister Ms. Katharine Guerrero represented Alverno Heights Academy’s Campus Ministry team at the City of Saints Teen Conference 2016 at UCLA.

During the conference, the girls had the opportunity to attend workshops focused on their Catholic faith, various worship services, and interact with other students on project collaborations.

City of Saints Teen Conference is a Catholic Teen Conference hosted by Archbishop José H. Gomez and the Youth Division of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The theme “City of Saints” reminds students that we live in a city named after saints, not only Los Angeles, (named for Our Lady, of course) but also Santa Monica, San Pedro, San Fernando, Santa Barbara, etc. The conference reminds all teens that they are called to be saints in our cities. This conference will help these young people express this sainthood in their everyday lives.
