In addition to attending Youth Day 2018 last week, a few of Alverno Heights’ students also had the opportunity to attend Religious Education Congress at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Bishop O'Connell presided over Liturgy at Alverno last year and was present at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels when Alverno alumna Cassidy Castillo '17 received the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Christian Service Medal.

Religious Education Congress, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Office of Religious Education, is the nation’s largest annual gathering of Roman Catholics. This year’s theme was “Rise Up” and the girls, along with Campus Minister Ms. Katharine Guerrero, got to enjoy speakers and workshops from Catholic leaders across the country!

Precious Perlas '19, Ally Mercado '18, and Anica Quizon '18 listen to one of the many wonderful speakers at Religious Education Congress.
