Alverno Heights Academy’s Forensics class had a field trip to the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center – Los Angeles Superior Courthouse recently.
It was an eye opening visit that included a meeting and discussion with two female judges. Judge Karla Kerlin and Alverno alumna, Judge Kathleen Kennedy, allowed students to sit in their courtroom during active court proceedings. The students then had an opportunity to ask the judges questions and get some career advice. It was a truly inspirational and insightful day for the Forensics students and a true example of women reaching new heights in the workforce!
