Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School to Hold Blessing of the Animals

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School will hold its Blessing of the Animals on Friday, October 3, 2014. One of God’s greatest gifts to humanity are animals; they bring everyone companionship, comfort, healing, and joy.

In anticipation of the feast of St. Frances of Assisi, the patron saint of the environment and ecology, we will have a blessing of the animals (live, stuffed, or captured in photographs) on Friday, October 3rd, at 8:00am.

Please make sure that all live animals are on a leash or in a cage. Thanks to Fr. Alan, who will preside at the ceremony.
