Assumption School Summer Camp 2015 Update

Assumption School of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ABVM) Summer Campers survived a very warm visit to the Zoo last Friday. Almost all of the animals were out so that made the visit all the better.

This week has been a busy one. The Summer Campers made watermelon slushes, homemade bird feeders, and blew up balloons with vinegar and baking soda in a bottle. The cooking club visited China and the Philippines, and made egg rolls and turon. The Art Club made fish out of CD’s and glittery slime. Sports played Flip Cup, with water!, and had a very competative Relay Race. Next week ABVM Summer Camp will rotate Clubs, so everyone will be trying something new.

The camp now has a ping pong table which is a big hit with the older campers. Next week there will be a badminton set and more new games. This will make everyone happy.

The Summer Campers are also going to the Discovery Cube in Santa Ana. They will also be watching a movie about Dinosaurs, and explore all that they have to offer. Today, the campers are going to see Inside Out. There is no Gator Camp on Friday, the 3rd of July. ABVM Summer Camp wishes everyone a Happy July 4th.
