Blair High School: “We’re An IB World School” – Come Find Out What That Means

This year’s IB Info Night was scheduled for Wed. Jan. 15, 2020, 6:30 p.m. The district has now scheduled the College & Career Academies Showcase for that same night, so Blair High School (BHS) is looking for an alternate date for the IB Info Night.

One of the three IB programs at Blair, the IB Career-related Programme, is part of its Health Careers Academy, so there is overlap with IB and PUSD College & Career Academy Pathways. And the IB Diploma Programme is one of the world’s most highly regarded college prep curriculum, so definitely should be considered when looking at college and career pathways in PUSD.

At Blair High School, they mention its International Baccalaureate programs and IB courses a lot, but at Info Night they take time to explain more what “IB” means.

Do you know the three IB programs at Blair? Blair offers all three IB programs for secondary students: Middle Years, Career-related and Diploma

Or that schoolwide it emphasize the characteristics of the IB Learner Profile?

That all 10th graders are to complete an IB Personal Project?

That the IB approach provides opportunities to students of all types of abilities and learning styles?

Or, that Blair allows 11th and 12th graders to take IB Courses without having to go for the full IB Diploma?

Come to IB Info Night with questions and curiosity! (That’s so very IB.)

Info Night takes place in the high school cafeteria.
