Blair High School Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy students will hold a health summit at the Jackie Robinson Center on Saturday, September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The students will be conducting cooking demonstrations on healthy food options for the community participants and will prepare low fat, “super food” recipes to promote healthy eating.
The event is open to public and is free of charge but interested participants should register on the event’s booth at the Jackie Robinson Center.
The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy is a four-year program for 9th through 12th grade students. It offers four programs for the students: Careers through Culinary Arts Programs, Future Homemakers of America-Home Economics Related Occupations, The California Affiliate of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and The National Restaurant Association ProStart Program and Roadtrip Nation.
The academy also offers two clubs for the students: the Longboat Cafe and the Future Homemakers of America-Home Economics Related Occupations Chapter.
