Book Festival Celebrates Tots, Tweens, and Teens



Book lovers will gather to celebrate all things literary at the free Tots, Tweens, & Teens Book Festival on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. at Pasadena High School. Over 30 authors and illustrators will present on the Picture Book, Middle Grade, and Young Adult stages to engage readers of all ages at this free event. Arrive at noon for a spceial musical performance by Kidlit singer/songwriter Emily Arrow. Books and CDs will be available for purchase and signing.

Participating authors and illustrators include Ashlyn Anstree, Elana K. Arnold, Bethany Barton, Julie Berry, Virginia Boecker, Pseudonymous Bosch, Barbara Brauner, James Burks, Cecil Castellucci, Andrew S. Chilton, Jessica Cluess, Carter Higgins, Aaron Hartzler, Tracy Holczer, Vincent X. Kirsch, E. Katherine Kottaras, Carson Kugler, Tina Kugler, Michelle Levy, Jessica Love, Nicole Maggi, Leslie Margolis, Michelle Markel, James Iver Mattson, Gretchen McNeil, Ken Min, Lin Oliver, Jennifer Gray Olson, LeUyen Pham, Cindy Pon, Amy Spalding, Ann Redisch Stampler, Ingrid Sundberg, Henry Turner, Lee Wardlaw, Marcie Wessels, Brian Won, and Keika Yamaguchi.

The grassroots literacy group Bridge to Books organized this event with the assistance and generosity of The Pasadena Educational Foundation, Pasadena Unified School District, and Pasadena Public Library Teens. Once Upon A Time Bookstore, the country’s oldest children’s bookstore, will be available on-site for book purchases. Refreshments will be available from Pie ‘n Burger Truck, Cake Girl, and Rita’s Ice (North Hollywood).
