Bosco Tech will host its baccalaureate and commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2019 on Saturday, June 1, starting at 5:00 p.m. The Baccalaureate Mass will be held on the campus mall, with the traditional conferral of diplomas and graduation ceremony immediately following. This year’s graduation keynote speaker is Roger Gibbs. A 1974 graduate of Bosco Tech’s Electronics program, Gibbs is the Deputy Director for Mars Exploration at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Graduating senior Nicolas Gutierrez will serve as valedictorian at the ceremony. The festivities will feature the school’s traditional alumni reception line, where past graduates congratulate and welcome each new member into the ranks of the Bosco Tech Alumni Association.

“We’re extremely proud of this graduating class,” said Principal Xavier Jimenez. “And we are confident in their future success. Each graduate has earned acceptance, and in many cases, very generous scholarships, to four-year colleges and universities across the country, including schools like Johns Hopkins University, the University of Notre Dame and Penn State. To date, our seniors have garnered about $4.7 million in scholarships, with more coming in each day.”
