Bosco Tech’s Black and Gold Gala

Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host its annual Black and Gold Gala at Quiet Cannon on Saturday, April 9, starting at 5:30 p.m. Gala guests will dine, dance, and bid on live and silent auction items with all proceeds benefiting Bosco Tech’s tuition assistance program.

Event tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased through http://boscotechgala.auction-bid.org. An assortment of auction items is available for online bidding such as round trip tickets anywhere in the U.S. courtesy of JetBlue, 4 pack of Angels Tickets and a weekend in Cambria and wine tasting for 4.

The event will honor long-time teacher and administrator Father Thomas Prendiville, retired faculty member Gene Burns, and the Boeing Company, each of whom has greatly contributed to the school’s long-term success. “We’re thrilled to recognize those who have worked tirelessly to help our students succeed, both in past years and more recently,” said Xavier Jimenez, Bosco Tech President. “By recognizing our cherished staff and benefactors, we are celebrating part of what sets Bosco Tech apart from other high schools.”

Celebrating its sixtieth year, Bosco Tech is an all-male Catholic high school that combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with a technology-focused education. With a 100 percent college acceptance rate each year, more than 60 percent of Bosco Tech graduates pursue STEM-related majors in their university studies.
