Crestview Prep: Welcome Back Mr. Prather



Actor/writer/storyteller/arts educator, has hosted and narrated numerous programs with the L.A. Philharmonic, including a ten year stint at the helm of “Summer Sounds” at the Hollywood Bowl.  For the past eight years has been the host of the annual “Holiday Sing-a-Long” at Disney Hall.  On March 4 and 11, Crestview welcomed back Mr. Prather.  As a teaching artist and performer, he has visited Crestview several times and has performed “Poetry Jam” and “John and Juan.”

Mr. Prather was Crestview Prep’s 2010 Artist in Residence, and most recently presented a Dr. Seuss workshop and poetry assembly to the Crestview students.   He performed the poetry of Mother Goose, A.A. Milne, Jack Prelutsky and others going from one hilarious poem to another using different accents, numerous props, and audience participation.
