Crestview Preparatory School Joins the “Hour of Code”

Crestview Preparatory School joins the mission to introduce students to computer programming by hosting an Hour of Code. This grassroots campaign’s goal is for tens of millions of students to try an Hour of Code during December 8-14, 2014, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week. Students from Kindergarten and up can choose from a variety of one-hour activities, using self-guided tutorials. These tutorials work on any modern browser, tablet, smartphone, or even with no computer at all. Students can work individually, in pairs, with a shared a projected screen, or with no computer at all.

Crestview Prep believes that every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science, nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity.

In addition, collaboration and team-work prepares students for their future careers. That’s why every single one of the 190 students at Crestview are joining in one of the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, from December 8-14, 2014.
