Drum Corps at Pasadena Unified’s Wilson Middle School to Perform as Part of Tournament of Roses Event

The Wilson Middle School Drum Corps in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) will have the treat of playing for guests from around the world December 30-31. Over 50 students will provide the rhythm for the viewing of Rose Parade floats receiving their final touches at the Rosemont Pavilion viewing area. Thanks to a generous donation by Remo, the group will have new drum heads to play on for the special occasion.

The Wilson Middle School Drum Corps was established in 1983 and is under the direction of Marvin Hatchett. They were invited to perform at the float viewing after their performance at the Parade of Roses event at Paseo Colorado. The ensemble has performed at numerous events across the Pasadena area including the city of Pasadena tree lighting ceremony and PUSD’s 140th birthday celebration.

Wilson Middle School Drum Corps will perform at Rose Parade float viewing on Tuesday, December 30 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 31 between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Rosemont Pavilion (700 Seco St., Pasadena).

Note: This is a ticketed event. Tickets are available for Tuesday, December 30 only. Information and Tickets can be found at http://www.tournamentofroses.com/events/float-viewing. Tickets may also be purchased at the venue.
