Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy: Golf Ends Best Season in Team History

Overall, the team’s record was 4-3, with a win percentage of 57%. But what that statistic doesn’t show is that FSHA golf beat Harvard-Westlake for the first time in school history on October 17 with a 249-264 victory. In addition, one of the losses — to Chaminade — was by one stroke, with a final score of 267-266.

A quartet of seniors — Katie Hartwig ’14, Presley Maron ’14, Raleigh Scharre ’14 and Karin Gredvig ’14 — drove the team’s success, with Ally Wilson ’16 and Denver Mackey ’17 also turning in strong performances. The team placed fourth overall in the Mission League, and Katie and Ally both advanced to league individual finals on October 24. They finished the season in ninth and 13th places, respectively.
