Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s Speech & Debate Team Travel to Berkeley

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s speech and debate team returned from the Cal Invitational at UC Berkeley on Sunday in a jubilant mood. Four team members broke to out-rounds in Impromptu Speaking. One of them, Team Co-Captain Jennifer Miranti ‘17, reached the Semi-Final round in Impromptu Speaking and was ranked 14th out of 218 students in her category of competition! Reaching the Octafinal Round in Impromptu Speaking were Team Co-Captain Clara Fermanian ’18, Serena Sampson ’17 and Stephanie Miranti ’19.

The Cal Invitational at UC Berkeley is one of the largest speech and debate tournaments in the country with over 2,200 entries from 197 schools in 24 states.
