Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Novices Compete at First League Speech and Debate Tournament

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy novices along with some varsity team members who served as judges

Seven of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy novice students competed at their very first high school speech and debate tournament over the weekend. They represented FSHA with pride and success amongst an enthusiastic group of 200 other novices from our league!

Trophies were awarded to Abigail Toth for her first place rank in all three speech events and to Ella Kitt for winning first place in her congressional debate round.

Lily Jiang, Victoria Hernandez, Caroline Finnegan and Dominique Godinez were recognized with ribbons of superior rank for placing in the top five percent in either speech or congressional debate. Dominique and Abigail were recognized with ribbons of excellence for placing in the top 10 percent in congressional debate. Ella placed in the top 10 percent in the speech events. Izabel Mah y Busch also competed and did well in her first-ever tournament.
