Immaculate Heart’s Track & Field Team also capped its winning season by clinching the Sunshine League Championship at Occidental College. Coached by Florence Edi and Brandon Sanborn, the IH team won every league meet this season for a perfect 8-0 record. Its closest competitor, Marlborough, tallied 69 points, followed by Notre Dame Academy with 52, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy with 41, and Louisville with 35.50.

This has been a banner year for Immaculate Heart sports. Last fall, the school’s Varsity Tennis and Varsity Cross-Country Teams each won Sunshine League Championships. “It has been an incredibly successful year for IH,” said Athletic Director Maureen Rodriguez. “I am so grateful to our amazing athletes and dedicated coaches who have put in so many hours of hard work. Go Heart!”
