Immaculate Heart High School’s Varsity Soccer team has moved on to the second round of CIF-SS playoffs after defeating St. Genevieve High School 3-2 on Thursday, February 15.
Junior Eva Jones scored two goals, and Riley Younger, also a junior, scored one goal to earn the win.
To reach this stage of the competition, the team first had to beat La Reina High School, which they did in a stunning 4-0 game.
Those goals were scored by freshman Quincey Bowles, junior Olivia Katz, and seniors Ashley Galvez and Gaby Gonzalez.
“Our Varsity Soccer team is having an amazing season,” Athletic Director Maureen Rodriguez said. “I am truly proud of each athlete and their for their commitment to our soccer program.”
Immaculate Heart congratulates its athletes on their spectacular peformance in the CIF-SS playoffs.
They will have their next game on Tuesday, February 20, against Los Amigos High School, and Immaculate Heart High School wishes them luck.
