The John Muir Special Olympics team took first place in the Southern California Special Olympics soccer tournament held in Duarte on December 1st.
Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with 4.4 million athletes in 170 countries – and millions more volunteers and supporters. It is also a global and social movement. The Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of more than 31,400 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities in Southern California through sports, education, and athlete health.
