Judson First and Second Graders Reach Out to Homeless

After reading Jesus’s Sermon the Mount, our Judson first and second graders wanted to reach out and make a difference.  They brainstormed and came up with the idea of collecting items for the homeless.  They worked hard to make posters to gain donations of toothpaste, soap, socks and other useful items.  Right before Thanksgiving break they packed their items to give out to the homeless.  All the children also made cards as a way to bless the people receiving the packets.  Children will distribute these “love packets” over Thanksgiving break to homeless people in our community.  It’s wonderful to see our little ones living out their faith!
