Judson International School: Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom
Judson International School is a small private Christian school located in Northeast Pasadena on the William Carey International University campus.
Judson’s dual emphasis on Christian and International education creates a unique perspective which prepares students well for the 21st century world in which they live. The curriculum focuses the students’ eyes and minds on the entire world throughout all of history, and integrates individual subjects into a unified whole to enhance learning.
Judson students use an investigative learning approach to explore and discover their world. There are many “hands-on” activities, including several meaningful field trips for every class each year, speech meets, math competitions and musicals. Students learn research skills starting in Kindergarten using “real” books in every subject area.
Judson’s curriculum goes way beyond the “3Rs.” From Kindergarten the students have pull-out classes for art, music, computer, PE and Spanish, studying with highly qualified teachers.
Students have the opportunity to participate in afterschool enrichment programs and interschool sports. The school offers a thriving sports program where teams went from being newbie’s in the Foothill League a few years ago to becoming the Football and Basketball Champions in 2012.
Judson has an Eagle Academy for homeschoolers, which offers a one day/week program of classes in extra-curricular subjects: music, art, computer, P.E., Spanish and science for grades KG – 8th. The program offers networking opportunities for families as well as academic record keeping with the possibility of report cards.
In 2011, Judson added 9th grade with core academic class options. School officials say they will continue to grow the High school program. In addition, Judson is authorized to offer the Form I-20 to International Students.
School administrators invite you to come visit the campus and meet with the Principal. For more information, please call (626) 398-2476 or visit www.judsonschool.org.
