Miles also won first place at the California State PTA Reflections Contest. The title of Miles’ drawing is “The Spark of Inspiration.” Miles writes the following to explain his creation and how it ties into the theme of “Believe, Dream, Inspire…”

“As I live my life, it is impossible to experience everything in this world. But instead, I read about other people’s experiences from books. I wanted to express this by connecting the pages of the book with the hairs of a human. The lips portray the belief that the book gives us, while the eyes dream. Each of the pages and each of the hairsare connected in a way to convey the message that inspiration comes from books.”
