La Salle High School’s 15th Annual Crystal Ball ‘A Black and White Affair’



The 15th Annual Crystal Ball, “A Black & White Affair” was held on May 2 at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. The elegant evening was chaired by Liz Kwong P’12, ’14 with her co-chair Ellen Radle P’17.

Guests enjoyed an evening of dining and dancing proceeded by live, silent and super silent auctions. La Salle students in dance and music performed before the dinner and auction.

The night was filled with the thrill of bidding on several dozen items during the live, silent, and super silent auctions. Auction items included destination trips, concert sporting event and television show tickets. Other popular items were amazing diners, Rose Parade and Rose Bowl VIP tickets and golfing extravaganzas.

Nearly 300 guests came to congratulate this year’s Crystal Ball honoree, Mr. David Lam ’08, ’09 who received the Lasallian Volunteer of the Year award. Lam is a graduate of La Salle College High School in Hong Kong and the University of Michigan where he earned an engineering degree. Lam is currently President of Mediverse, an international distributor of medical devices.

The Crystal Ball is La Salle’s largest fundraiser of the year allowing everyone an opportunity to come together and support the programs and activities that La Salle provides to its students.
