La Salle to Hold Food Taste Benefit Event for Scholarship Fund

More than 30 eateries and beverage companies will participate in La Salle’s food taste benefit event set for Saturday, March 22 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Among the eateries that will participate in “Taste of La Salle” are San Marino Seafood Company, El Portal, El Cholo Pasadena, Stonefire Gril, La Trizz Catering Services and Dickey’s BBQ.

Beverage stores such as City Cafe, San Antonio Winery, Angel City Brewery, Hangar 25 Brewery and Brother Timothy Wine will also be present.

Sweet deserts will be available through Simple Cupcakes of Pasadena and Sugar Fix Bakery.

The proceeds will be used to benefit the Alumni Association College Scholarship Fund to allow graduating seniors to pursue their college dreams.

Attendees may join the drawing for a chance to win prizes including a basket of goodies from Corner Bakery; coffees from the World Basket; and Whole Foods gourmet food basket which includes 3 bottles of wine, specialty cheeses, organic truffles box and a Whole Foods gift card.

The prizes will also include Stock the Bar Package featuring 10 cases of Anheuser-Busch Beer, 3 bottles of Brother Timothy Wine, Maya Tequila and additional bottles of wine and premium alcohols. Participants may also win a free cooking class for two and a free private dinner at home for two by The Spot Gourmet.

The grand prize is an array of gift cards with a total worth of $1,000 to local eateries including Applebee’s, Arroyo Chop House, Cafe Bizou, Cafe Santorini, Casa Bianca, Casa del Rey, City Cafe, Corner Bakery, Domenico’s Jr., Green Street Restaurant, The Luggage Room Pizzeria, Mijares, Natural Selection, Original Tommy’s Burgers, Paco’s, Slater’s 50/50, Stonefire Grill, Toro Sushi Bar & Lounge, Twin Palms and Wistaria.
