Maranatha Community Continues Work with Caltrans

As a way to interact with and serve our local community, Maranatha High School has taken on an Adopt-a-Highway role along the 210 freeway.

Maranatha started this service Thanksgiving week during Service Days. The agreement with Caltrans has a few students, faculty, and staff going out to check the areas every month. This past Saturday, December 16, Mr. Mancini and a group of six students went out to care of our section of the highway. The areas of their service started at Hill Street and go to Sunnyslope on both the West and Eastbound sides of the 210. Mike says, “This is a large area and our students did a great job, they had a wonderful attitude and worked hard. We appreciate that Caltrans wants our students to be safe, so the area we maintain is behind the sound barrier, not alongside the freeway. We are looking forward to continuing this service in the weeks and months to come.”
