Maranatha High School Announces iPad Minis for Every Student

Maranatha High School is excited to be leading the way in adopting the iPad Mini in every class, for every student. Recognizing the ever-increasing importance of digital technology in the lives of students worldwide, Maranatha High School will launch its 1:1 program this fall. Students will engage in digital learning across the curriculum.

Maranatha’s principal, Dr. Michelle Purghart, advocates the use of iPad Mini’s to enhance student learners at a higher cognitive level. She asserts, “The educational applications, streaming video, virtual field trips, blog participation, diagnostic feedback, and individualized instruction that will be available to students and teachers are sure to increase interest and improve student performance.”

Maranatha faculty are proponents of using instructional technology “to differentiate instruction and provide students with real time analysis and assessment of their learning” states math teacher Kimberly VanSpronsen. The energy across campus is infectious as Maranatha continues to strive for excellence in every area, graduating students who lead lives of purpose and distinction to honor Jesus Christ.
