Maranatha High School celebrated alumni and current moms with their annual Mothers of Maranatha Dinner. Nearly 200 moms enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and fellowship together. Long-time Maranatha faculty and parent of three MHS alums Kay Rouse offered touching stories about her children’s journey at MHS, how the Maranatha community left a positive legacy in their lives, as well her own description of what a full-time educator and full-time mom looks like.

Rouse was followed by a Maranatha trustee, fellow parent, and parent of alumni, Ms. Michele VanRiper, who shared what her life as a Maranatha mom has looked like over the years and she encouraged our moms to slow down, and take in every moment of their child’s high school years to the fullest. She also requested that the moms pray for Maranatha’s search for a new head school.

The mothers enjoyed delicious Italian comfort food from the Minuteman Café as well as an abundance of exquisite pastries and pies from Portos. It was a warm and toasty evening as MHS moms mingled and connected with both old and new friends.
