Update from Maranatha High School’s Armenia Missions Team in Yerevan. Yerevan is the capital and largest city of Armenia as well as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.
“To start off our time in Yerevan, we visited Vernisage, a popular Armenian bazaar filled with lots of artistic works. There were so many beautiful things to look at and buy, from paintings using rocks to hand-woven rugs to handmade khachkars (wooden crosses)!”
The Team visited the Genocide Memorial, also known as the Tsitsernakaberd. “At the museum, we learned the full background of this terrible part of Armenia’s history.” – Heidi Silk
