Mayfield Junior School: Celebrating Pasadena!

The Mayfield Junior School’s third grade celebrated the history of Pasadena today with a creative re-enactment of the first Rose Parade in 1890. Colorful handmade costumes and props highlighted important landmarks like the Colorado Street Bridge, early businesses like Vroman’s Bookstore and the wonderful climate that attracted so many people to move here. While the parade made its way across campus, fellow classmates added to the joyful procession with instrumental accompaniment on the recorder, tambourine and drum.
