Mayfield Junior School: Into the Woods Jr is a Hit!

Mayfield’s eighth grade class brought all of their  favorite fairy tale characters to the stage in  “Into the Woods Jr,” from March 30-April 1. Under the direction of drama teacher, Lisa Byrne, the story which intertwines the lives of fairy tale characters as they seek their own happy endings, was brought to life with colorful sets and costumes and the wonderful singing and acting abilities of this multi-talented eighth grade  class.

With two rotating casts and crews everyone had a chance to shine on stage and behind the scenes. The 8th grade play has been a tradition at Mayfield Junior School (MJS) for over 25 years. Each year it is both a creative opportunity and a bonding experience for the 8th graders as they prepare for graduation or in this case to move on to “happily ever after!”
