Muir’s Solar Cup Team Gets Perfect Score on Drive Train/Steering Technical Report

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) congratulates the 2020 John Muir High School Early College Magnet Solar Cup Team for a PERFECT score on their Drive Train/Steering Technical Report! Keep up the good work, PWP is proud to sponsor such a dedicated group of students.

Solar Cup is a three-day, eco-boating competition offered annually by the Metropolitan Water District (MWD). For the past 10 years, Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) has been a proud sponsor of John Muir High School’s participation in the race. The competition takes place on Lake Skinner and encourages high school teams to work together to construct solar powered electric boats. To participate, each school must receive a sponsorship from its local water agency to help outfit its boat with solar panels, motors, propellers and other necessary equipment.
