New Horizon School: Building a Wildflower Hugel Mound



Come to New Horizon School’s workday on Sunday, February 28, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and learn about local wildflowers and harvesting water. There will also be planting some of the herbs!

What is a Hugelkultur?

Hugelkultur is a composting process constructed on top of layered wood and plant materials. It helps harvest and retain water, increase soil moisture and fertility.

Leigh Adams is the local Artist in Residence at New Horizon & Interpretive Horticulturist at the L.A. County Arboretum.
