Pasadena Christian School’s Junior High Program

Pasadena Christian School has a junior high program that is designed to help the seventh and eighth grade students make a smooth transition into the rigorous academic programs of high school and college. One of the most exciting and challenging periods of a young person’s life is adolescence. This is a crucial age and, for many, a turning point in their lives.

Junior High is a time when parents, the church and the school need to work together to mold convictions, ideas and priorities that will influence young lives for eternity. PCS has a strong junior high academic curriculum which is complemented by a wide range of electives. Journalism, computer, industrial technology, art, drama, Spanish, band, home economics and athletic activities provide stimulation and enthusiasm.

There are a number of exciting activities for the Junior Higher such as the Junior High Coffee House Theater, Olympic Day, the annual eighth grade Science Fair, and a summer historical tour of colonial America. Our boys’ and girls’ athletic teams compete in league sports such as flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball and track.
