PUSD’s preschool programs balance learning in foundational reading, writing, and math with science, art, and music in a nurturing environment for our youngest learners.
The Pasadena Unified School District is now enrolling children ages 3 – 5 years old for Early Childhood programs at various locations. Full and half day programs are available. Families may be eligible for reduced or free services. Dual language immersion classes in French, Mandarin, and Spanish are also available for a fee.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is the Pasadena Unified School District program that bridges the time between preschool and traditional Kindergarten. Designed for children who turn 5 years old between September 2 and December 2, 2018, Transitional Kindergarten gives our learners an academic and enriched foundation to succeed in school.
Transitional Kindergarten is offered at 8 PUSD campuses

Visit your neighborhood school to register for the TK program that corresponds to your home address. Placement in Transitional Kindergarten is determined by the family’s residence address. See the 2018-2019 list of Transitional Kindergarten school assignments
