Pasadena Waldorf High School’s and John Marshall High School’s Girls Learn International (GLI) Chapter to Hold Special Screening of “He Named Me Malala”

Pasadena Waldorf High School’s Girls Learn International (GLI) chapter, along with John Marshall High School’s GLI chapter, will be hosting a movie screening of “He Named Me Malala” on Saturday, June 4th at 7:30 p.m. at 510 W. Garfield Avenue, Glendale 91204.

There will be an entrance fee of either $5 or one box of feminine hygiene products (tampons or pads) to be donated to the Downtown Women’s Shelter. We will be serving pizza, snacks, and drinks for a fee, also to be donated. The film is rated PG-13 for thematic elements involving disturbing images and threats. While the group feels it is appropriate for middle school students, each individual family should decide on its own as to the appropriateness of the subject matter for their sons or daughters. If possible, please RSVP to pwhs.gli@gmail.com with the number of people in your party. The PWHS GLI club is very excited for our first fundraising event and hope that many of you will be able to attend.
