Poly’s Lower School Explores the Wonder of Science

“Have you ever wondered about something?” Poly’s youngest scientists recently had the chance to wonder about something and create their own test to test it. The Lower School’s Fun with Science Day 2017 showcased the wonder and testing process and featured almost 100 projects completed by almost 200 students. The event included a Gallery Walk, Poly’s ninth annual Lower School Science Fair, and the second annual Science Interactive Exhibits hosted by Poly’s very own fifth grade scientists.

The Interactive Exhibits drew more than 200 students, parents, and guests who were engaged and eager to learn about some fun scientific concepts. Using scannable QR codes, guests were able to listen to audio recordings of the students as they explained their projects.

This year’s Lower School Fun with Science Day allowed our young scientists to explore the scientific process and to make sense of the world around them, one of the main objectives of the Lower School science program.
