Poly’s Technical Theatre Program – An Adventure in Creative Teamwork

Poly’s Technical Theatre program is an adventure in creative teamwork. Under the guidance of instructors Richard Sherrell and Tom Allard, Tech Theatre offers experience in design, fabrication, rigging, lighting, art design, and running crew for the theatrical and music programs at Poly. Techies learn elements of carpentry, drawing, painting, lights, and working together. Sherrell and Allard stress creative, out-of-the-box thinking, leadership, and teamwork. To see Tech Theatre in action, watch this scene shift performed by seventh-graders in between the play, “HSTV,” and the dance show on the stage in Founders Hall.
