Polytechnic School: Guest Author Visits Summer School

Richard Rosser, author of Piggy Nation The Musical, Piggy Nation A Day at Work with Dad and Piggy Nation Let’s go Camping, presented a workshop for a few writing classes in Summer School.

In what Mr. Rosser called a “Piggy tales story bee,” students randomly picked three tiles which were then used to create their stories. After ten minutes of brain-storming, students came to the front of the classroom and performed their stories for the class. Mr. Rosser discussed different genres and encouraged students to bring their stories to life with dramatic presentations, character voices, sound effects, etc. The top three stories were given prizes to recognize their efforts.
