Polytechnic School Student-athletes Continue their Athletic Careers in College

Five members of Poly’s Class of 2019 have been recruited to continue their athletic careers in college. Softball MVP Brennah Bronk will continue her softball career at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisc. Poly’s new record holder, Ella Cornwell, will throw at the University of Chicago next school year. After breaking the school record in the 100 butterfly and finishing third in the CIF-SS Division 3 200 IM, swimmer Pranay Singh will take to the pool at Bowdoin College in Maine.

Two grads are off to New York to continue their careers: Sinjin Mendenhall is off to Sarah Lawrence University in Bronxville to play soccer for the Gryphons, and Franco Alonso will be headed to Ithaca to be a student-athlete for Cornell University. Although he received accolades in football and baseball, Alonso will pursue NCAA Division 1 baseball for the Big Red Bears. Congratulations to this year’s collegiate student-athletes as they continue to showcase their talents after Poly.
