The PasadenaLEARNs 2018 No Limits Summer Program operates Tuesday, June 5, 2018 through Thursday, July 12, 2018 for elementary, middle and high school. Students review English Language Arts and math skills learned throughout the school year and participate in exciting, hands-on enrichment classes that focus on computer programming, graphic design, culinary arts, engineering, needlework, sports, and much more! Students also participate in off-site excursions such as swimming and field trips. Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Pasadena Educational Foundation
The Pasadena Educational Foundation’s (PEF) Summer Enrichment Program offers a mix of academic subjects and hands-on activities. Students learn to cook, explore a new language, build a rocket, write a play, program a robot, learn tennis, design with 3D printers, and so much more. Classes are June 11 – July 12, 2018. Extended School Year Program for Students with Disabilities
Extended school year programs will be offered for Pasadena Unified students with disabilities from June 7-July 12. Classes will be held at Sierra Madre Elementary School for preschool and elementary school students; Sierra Madre Middle School for middle school students; Focus Point Academy at Edison; and PALs at Wilson Middle School. High School Credit Recovery
PUSD’s high school credit recovery program for students who need to earn credits is offered this summer at John Muir High School. The program blends online learning and independent study with options to complete work in the classroom or at home. Students enrolled through their school counselors in the spring. Fuel Up for Summer
PUSD offers free breakfasts and lunches for children and youth 18 years old or younger this summer through the 2018 Summer Food Program. This program provides an opportunity for PUSD students and all the children in our community to continue receiving meals during the summer. Children do not need to be enrolled in PUSD schools to receive a meal and no pre-registration is required. Parks & Libraries
Summer programs are available at parks and libraries in Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre.
The City of Pasadena Human Services and Recreation Department offers summer day camp and many other recreational activities for youth ages 3-18. The Los Angeles County County Department of Parks & Recreation offers a variety of summer programs for children and youth at parks in Altadena. The City of Sierra Madre provides a range of recreational facilities and programs throughout the year.
