Although for some years state funding for transportation has not been enough to cover mandated busing costs, Pasadena Unified continued to provide general education transportation for an average 345 students each day.
PUSD currently operates seven general education buses for students who attend
schools other than their school of residence and for other purposes. However, in light of our District’s budget situation, general education transportation service can no longer be offered and will be discontinued in the 2018-19 school year as $12 million in reductions in the Fiscal Stabilization Plan and Second Interim Report are implemented.
Service will continue through the end of the current school year. Seven bus routes will be discontinued in 2018-2019: 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706 and 707.
Transportation service is not affected for students with disabilities whose Individualized EducationPlans (IEPs) stipulate transportation service.
