Mrs. Aulikki Flagan gave a talk recently at the Design Museum in Helsinki to share information about and promote the strong Robotics program at Ramona. The event is organized in collaboration with Fulbright Finland specializing in academic exchanges between Finland and North America.

Mrs. Aulikki Flagan’s talk will be highlighted by a video produced by this year’s robotics students!

The Award-winning Ramona Rampage, Team 1159, is one of very few all girls’ FIRST Robotics teams. With roots going back to the legendary garage of its moderator’s home in 2002, more than 80 team members now build robots in two dedicated classrooms on campus after school and on weekends.

Each year, the challenge is different. Because the team works after school and on weekend, everyone who wants to work hard and learn can participate.

Ramona Convent has earned a Judge’s Award (2006), website recognition (2009, 2010, and 2011) and a Spirit Award (2011). In 2016, Ramona Rampage went all the way to the National FIRST Robotics Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, to complete with teams from around the country and the world.

With the help of Cal Tech, SpaceX, and Boeing mentors, supportive family members and teachers, Ramona Rampage is ready for the next challenge!

Ramona is a welcoming Catholic college-prep high school for girls in grades 9-12. Ramona graduates face the future with an extraordinary education, a global vision fueled by Catholic values, an independent spirit, confident leadership skills, the support of their Ramona sisters, and the strength of a legacy of more than 128 years of excellence.
