Ramona Students Participates in Annual Coastal Clean-Up at Belmont Pier in Long Beach

Twenty Ramona students, with Mrs. Averill and Ms. Argueta recently participated in the annual Coastal Clean-up at Belmont Pier in Long Beach. These wonderful, willing students helped Mother Earth by cleaning up trash that posed a danger to both human and sea life. Students helped remove waste varying from snack wrappers, bottle caps, to plastic containers; in addition, they notified beach supervisors of animal corpses, metal objects and ‘used’ sanitary items. Ramona students (listed above) put SNJM values of service into action by helping the environmental world (Pope Francis would be proud!).
