Recognizing Achievement at Blair



The Blair family has enjoyed a number of honors and successes so far this school year.

Principal Trudell Skinner was named Administrator of the Year on Nov. 14 by the Association of Pasadena School Administrators!

Then, Blair 7th Grader Agatha Augustynski tied for 3rd place for her vase design in the Tournament of Roses’ student art competition on Nov. 19.

Also a number of Blair students won prizes in the Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest sponsored by the  Pasadena MLK Community Coalition. The middle school winning essay was written by Joshua Teon, and the high school winning essay was written by Heather Romero. Both received $50.

Additional winners for each grade will receive $20 for first place and $10 for second place. Here are the winners:
6th grade: Johanna Dickie, 1st place; Tiare Ribaya, 2nd place
7th grade: Agatha Augustynski, 1st place; Derwin Deon Brown II, 2nd place
8th grade: Chase Musson, 1st place; Lesley Padron, 2nd place
9th grade: Matthew Teon, 1st place; Michaela Gardner, 2nd place
10th grade: Daniel Lollich, 1st place; Lenin Ortega, 2nd place
11th grade: Kayla Murray, 1st place; Caelan Tange, 2nd place
12th grade: Jay Mahabal, 1st place, Kalani Sotomayor, 2nd place
