Renowned Clinical Psychologist to Discuss Technology's Effect on Young People

Chandler School will present “The Big Disconnect” with Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair at the school’s Ahmanson Foundation Performing Arts Center on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Admission is free. Steiner-Adair will discuss several topics including “How the ‘tech effect’ puts children’s development at risk,” “Pushing pause on the tech takeover,” “Cyber-bullying, sexting, texting and viral gossip among teens” and “Turning tech into an ally for closeness, creativity and community.”

Steiner-Adair is a clinical psychologist, a school consultant and an author. She has consulted to over 350 private and public schools, parents and students on a wide range of topics related to strengthening children’s social and emotional development, shaping school culture and deepening parents’ connections to their children.

Chandler School was founded in 1950 by Thomas and Catherine Chandler. It currently has a population of 445 students and has 47 faculty members.
