Retreats Foster Community at St. Francis High School

Retreats are a great opportunity for a group of people to get together and focus on building faith while building connections. Retreats are not just for adults, they help build a sense of purpose and instill confidence in students as well.

St. Francis High School knows the power of a retreat and their students participate in one each year of high school.

Freshman year starts off with a high intensity day focused on learning all about St. Francis and his legacy. Students experience live music and speakers while learning about their school’s namesake. This day of bonding is key to creating a brotherhood for the new freshman class.

The sophomore retreat is a one day retreat that teaches these young boys how to become men of God. The day teaches the sophomores how to live their lives according to the cardinal virtues and fosters a deeper bond between the young men.

Junior year offers students a two night, three day experience dedicated to the words of Colossians 2:7. The Bible says there “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” This retreat is about their journey to strive to continue to be men of God.

Senior year is a three night four day journey of self-reflection and looking to God for the answers. As students reflect on God coming to earth as man, and the life of Jesus Christ, they will foster a deeper bond that comes with striving to live God’s will.

St. Francis High School is located at 200 Foothill Boulevard, in La Cañada and can be reached at (818) 790-0325. For more information on the school please visit their website at www.sfhs.net.
