San Marino Schools Foundation Funds 10% of District 2013-2014 Budget

Did you know that the San Marino Schools Foundation funds 10% of the School District budget for the current school year? As the Foundation’s 2013-2014 Annual Campaign kicks off, it is important to remember that the Foundation funds the equivalent of 32 teaching positions District-wide — 10 at San Marino High School, 8 at Huntington Middle School and 14 at the Elementary School level — and remains critical to ensuring a quality education for our students.

The Foundation thanks all parents who have donated through first day packets and announces that community and parent donations to date total $750,000 toward its $3 million Annual Campaign goal (an initial donor list will be published in late September). Reaching the goal requires donations from a significant portion of District parents as well as the community and local businesses. We hope we can count on your continued support and generosity. Donations are tax deductible. To obtain additional information or make a donation, please visit www.smsf.org or call the Foundation office at (626) 299-7014.
