In observation of Human Rights Day, Sequoyah School’s K8 students continued the tradition of coming together in a circle to share and break bread — “When we take time to reflect in silence on world hunger and the universal values of equality, justice, freedom, and peace, we celebrate human dignity and remember our shared humanity.”

“Our human compassion binds us the one to the other – not in pity or patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future.” – Nelson Mandela
