The South Pasadena High School Mediators are holding their second TEDx Salon entitled “Connection and Communication.” Speakers will communicate topics focused on empathy, relationships, friendships, understanding, responsibility, and awareness.
For those interested in speaking during this event, applications are currently open and can be found on the SPHS Mediators Facebook and on the South Pasadena High School website under News and Announcements. All applications are due October 8, 2017.
The TEDxSouthPasadenaHigh Salon is an event open to high schoolers and the surrounding community (teachers, staff, parents, & other members of the community). The event will showcase TED Talks and speakers from the community that discuss overarching themes such as empathy, relationships, friendships, understanding, responsibility, and awareness. The goal is to create a setting for students and community members by discussing topics that are relevant in day to day life that may not necessarily be prioritized. Attendees will also have the opportunity to inspire and advise one another in developing solutions to personal and/or community-wide issues that tie into the topics of discussion.
